There was cake, there was food, there were heartfelt thank-yous, as Tritility celebrated its third birthday on Friday.
We never pass up the chance to celebrate in style, and Friday was no exception. As the glasses clinked and the cake was cut, we also took a moment to take stock of the past year, and reflect on the many changes it has brought…
In January 2021, we had 80 staff in our Washington site, which was undergoing a complete renovation at the time. By spring, we had a beautiful new office, but our headcount had grown so much that we needed a second site. Solar-powered Strathmore House in Jarrow, with its easy transport links and bright, airy workspaces, fit the bill perfectly.
So while our Washington office continues to house our support teams, Jarrow has become the hub for our growing team of energy consultants.
Building a positive working culture has been a top priority since day one, but in our third year it became official. We were named one of the top 10 mid-size employers in the UK and one of the top five employers in the North East.
In addition, we won the TELCA Wellbeing and Diversity Award, and we gained our Bronze Better Health at Work accreditation.
Continuously adding value to our service is part of our core mission. So in 2021, we built a new CRM system, introduced a new Energy Management platform and expanded our Customer Service team.
In a company where culture is key, the Pandemic required us to get creative. Maintaining a sense of unity in the year of social distancing posed us new challenges, but with a little help from technology, and a lot of investment in internal communications, morale remained high. We listened to feedback, we checked in, we socialised safely, and business continued as usual.
With growth remaining steady, we aim to our fourth birthday promises to be even bigger. Better make a start on the balloons now…
