Celebrating Excellence at the First TriStar Awards

This month, Tritility held its first ever TriStar Awards: a glittering occasion celebrating our team’s successes over the past year.

The event, which took place at the stylish Biscuit Factory in Newcastle, featured a fun casino, magician, sweet shop, photo booth and red carpet welcome. Staff were treated to a three course meal before the all-important awards announcements, which included categories such as the Role Model Award and Apprentice of the Year.

Thanking Our Team After an Unusual Year

It has been a year of ups and downs, from the lows of the pandemic to the highs of our rapid expansion. One thing that has remained consistent is the outstanding calibre of our staff. So as soon as we were safely able, we gathered the team for a well-deserved celebration of their efforts.

The awards were designed to look beyond immediate job roles. Instead, they focused on the times people have shown real commitment to upholding Tritility’s brand values, providing outstanding service and supporting their colleagues.

We had 10 awards, plus a special recognition award for our fabulous cleaners, who have kept our environment safe and pleasant throughout the challenges of the pandemic.

Highlights from the day

Our Sponsors

We were delighted to be joined by a whole host of sponsors, all key players from the industry. Everflow was perfectly placed to sponsor our Role Model Award: with a ‘people before profits’ ethos and a track record for charitable giving, Everflow sets an example to its peers. We were joined by Jay Hudspith, who kindly presented the award.

Our Apprentice of the Year Award was sponsored by Sunderland College. Our strong relationship with the college stems from a shared passion for boosting the long-term career prospects of apprentices.

The Outstanding Feedback Award was backed by Smartest Energy. They boast excellent reviews on Trustpilot, and we know that when Tritility clients choose Smartest, they’re in safe hands. Smartest Energy’s Channel Sales Manager Gurpreet Judge presented the award.

Corona Energy sponsored our Above and Beyond Award. Corona is a great fit for this category, as they pride themselves on their forward-thinking approach. Corona’s Neil Thorpe handed the award to Executive PA Kate, our in-house fountain of knowledge whose support is invaluable.

Sponsoring our Trust and Transparency Award was Total Energies. Their extensive social responsibility and ethics policies permeate everything they do, making them well-placed to support this category. Michael Jones joined us via video to present the award to Senior Account Manager Erin Towers.

Last but by no means least was our Unsung Hero Award, sponsored by Energy Live News. We were delighted to be joined by Geoff Curran, co-founder of the award-winning publisher, and one of the most respected voices in the energy industry.

Our fantastic sponsors, L-R: Everflow's Jay Huspith; Host Mark Jones presenting Emma Robson with her award on behalf of Sunderland College; Smartest Energy's Gurpreet Judge; Corona Energy's Neil Thorpe; Senior Account Manager Erin receiving her award sponsored by Total Energies; and Geoff Curran of Energy Live News.

Celebrating Achievement

Recognising and rewarding our team’s achievements is hugely important to us, and narrowing each award down to a handful of nominees was a difficult task. We were so impressed with the supportive atmosphere – those who did not win this time around had nothing but pride for the winners. It really bought home to us that the culture of teamwork and collaboration that we have strived to build has become firmly embedded.

So we’d like to say a huge congratulations to our deserving winners and nominees. We’d also like to give a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, not only for being an integral part of the first ever TriStar Awards, but for the invaluable services they provide to Tritility and its clients.

We'd also like to thank host Mark Jones, The Biscuit Factory for having us, as well as Photographer Jenny Fozard. Bring on the next one!
