Tritility’s LEAD Programme Off to a Flying Start
Tritility has conducted its first session LEAD (Learning, Education and Development) Programme training session.
The LEAD Programme Off to a Flying Start
Last Thursday was an exciting day at Tritility as it marked the first session of our LEAD (Leadership Education and Development) Programme.
The initiative is aimed at nurturing our in-house talent, giving candidates a pathway into leadership. This is a great move for our growing business, as we are now developing a pool of new team managers ready to take on roles as the company expands.
A Tailored Approach
In order to give trainees as much support as possible, the programme is open to only three candidates at a time. This allows for a more tailored approach, mixing group workshops with individual coaching.
Carl, one of our first wave of trainees, said: “I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to benefit from thorough preparation for a management role at Tritility. I especially like that LEAD is delivered both through classroom sessions and mentoring with a senior manager.”
Exceptional Interest
The interest in the programme was exceptional, and the calibre of the candidates was extremely high. But those who weren’t successful this time have been encouraged to apply again in three months’ time, when the next round begins.
“World Class” Teaching
The first unit was ‘My Personal Brand’, which explores how the trainee Team Managers are perceived by their colleagues, and also how they perceive themselves.
The feedback was hugely positive. Management Trainee Tom said: “My first LEAD session was great. I think the way the course has been structured and is being taught is world class. I know I’m going to benefit from it massively.” Meanwhile, his course-mate Stephen said: “The first session was everything I expected and more. It opened my eyes to what is expected from me to ensure I achieve my goal of progressing into a reputable, over-achieving sales manager within the business.”
Carl, Stephen and Tom are ready to put what they’ve learned so far into practice, and start marketing themselves and building on their brand. The next unit will focus on our brand values.
A Passion for People Development
Deb Keirl, who has over 15 years’ experience in Learning and Development, is delighted to be leading the course. She said: “My real passion is for people development. So, to be asked to build LEAD and take our fab three on their journey to becoming our next team managers is both an honour and a privilege. I get a real buzz from seeing individuals develop and I get my reward when that individual is in the role they have worked so hard for. I’m really looking forward to the next few months with Carl, Stephen and Tom and supporting them on their development journey.”
