Tritility TELCA Nominations 2022

It’s a proud day here at Tritility, as our commitment to diversity and outstanding service has earned us a spot on this year’s TELCA shortlist. We’re the only North-East energy consultancy to be shortlisted in the ‘Best Customer Service – SME’ and ‘Diversity Pioneers’ categories.

Celebrating difference

Here at Tritility, this commitment to diversity underpins everything from the physical layout of our offices to our recruitment procedures. We avoid blanket recruitment policies which demand a certain level of formal education. This stems from the belief that such policies can hinder social mobility and exclude talented candidates.

The energy industry has come under scrutiny in recent years for its lack of gender diversity at senior management level. Conversely, our own recruitment, operations, marketing, customer service and key accounts teams are headed up by women.

Our inclusion strategy goes hand in hand with a raft of employee wellbeing initiatives, as well as our status as a Disability Confident employer.

Best Customer Service

Our business model was designed to move away from the ‘transactional’ nature of business energy contracts. Many of our clients are used to working with energy brokers or other TPIs in an entirely transactional manner – frequently with contact from them limited to contract renewal time.

Our business model is different – we focus on building lasting relationships and our commitment to our clients doesn’t begin and end when they agree energy contracts through us.

We take a proactive approach to client care and account management – our clients enjoy regular contact from their dedicated, named account manager. And if clients need us, they can reach their account manager directly, with no call centre or queues to contend with.

Our clients continually compliment us on the proactive and helpful support we provide – we really do go out of our way to help. As one client kindly remarked on Trustpilot – “They are my life line, they have helped me so much. Any problem I have, I pick up the phone…I don’t have to do a thing”.

Our Reaction

Reflecting on the announcement, Jamie Wyatt (Director), said:

“I am delighted to learn that we have been shortlisted for two prestigious TELCA awards, despite it being our first time entering. It is a fantastic endorsement of the way that our business is growing, despite being established a little less than two years ago.

“When I look at the calibre and reputation of some of our competitors against whom we have been shortlisted, I am filled with pride at the recognition and reputation that we are earning. I am immensely grateful to our team for their ongoing hard work and dedication which has contributed to these nominations and would also like to extend sincere congratulations to our fellow nominees.”

About TELCA

TELCA will take place in early December 2020. Though the event will be held remotely this year, it will still provide an excellent opportunity to get up to date industry insights, while celebrating successes in the energy sector.

The event is hosted by Energy News Live, an award winning publishing and events company, and a leading source of energy news.
