Tritility Announces 4Louis as their Charity of the Year.

Last year, we selected five local charities and voted on who we’d most like to have as our chosen charity for 2023. The winner: Sunderland based charity 4Louis.

Who are 4Louis?

4Louis provides support for families who have suffered the loss of a child through stillbirth or neonatal death.

The charity’s work includes providing memory boxes to hospitals and bereavement suites across the UK. These memory boxes contain a range of keepsakes, including hand and foot moulds, blankets, teddy bears, and other items that help families create lasting memories of their child. The boxes are provided free of charge and have helped thousands of families through the grieving process.

Staff Volunteering Days

4Louis relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to fund and support its work. That’s why throughout February and March, 12 of our team are volunteering in the memory box workshops. As part of the day, they’ll be creating heartfelt cards and packing some of the 1,500 memory boxes the charity sends out each month.

Supporting Local Charities

Over the next year, we’ll be supporting 4Louis participating in volunteering days and fundraising events as well as raising awareness of the important work they provide bereaved families.

In previous years, Tritility has supported charities such as Washington Mind and Walking with the Wounded, raising over £4,300 for the war veteran charity. More recently, we donated 250 back-to-school essential kits for children taking part in South Tyneside Council’s HAF Programme.
