Powering Pride: Tritility Celebrates Diversity this Pride Month
It’s Pride month and at Tritility, we’re keen to celebrate this important occasion.
Celebrating Diversity
At Tritility, we are proud to foster an inclusive, people-focused culture unified by its shared values of respect, integrity, and diversity. We are dedicated to raising awareness on LGBTQ+ rights and promoting equality in the workplace all year round, but June holds a special place in our celebrations as the official Pride month.
Pride month reminds us that open communication and visibility are more important than ever. We believe Pride initiatives are a great way to promote awareness and equality within the company, enrich our understanding of vital issues the community faces and provide access to valuable insights and equal opportunities.
Empowering Equality: at the Core of Tritility Values
To celebrate this important occasion, our spring 2023 LGBTQ+ pledge underlines Tritility’s commitment to inclusion. Our company policies advocate a workplace that values equity, inclusion, and fair treatment for LGBTQ+ employees.
To further show our support and solidarity to the community, we have taken action that reflects our values at the core of the LGBTQ+ movement:
• We have published our LGBTQ+ pledge to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
• For our spring initiatives earlier this year, we designed our ‘Empowering You to be Yourself’ roller banners and posters, accessible to all our communal places and meeting rooms.
• We introduced a Pride rainbow lanyard for our staff as an additional option for everyone to express their solidarity to the community.
• We have updated our email signatures, company graphics, and logos to include the LGBTQ+ colours–changes that send a proud message about Tritility’s allyship to the movement.
• We are particularly proud of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion forum running for the third consecutive year. Our forum gives us the opportunity to acknowledge the progress of the LGBTQ+ community and foster important conversations that promote a critical understanding of the movement’s core values. During our meetings, we provide information on events and relevant initiatives, share areas of good practice that promote equality and diversity across all topics, helping raise awareness against bias and discrimination.
• This year, we have organised an exciting opportunity to win two platinum weekend tickets to northern pride festival. The winner will be able to join the month’s festivities and actively take part in this important movement.
The value of our contribution has been recognised by highly prestigious initiatives such as the Energy Live Consultancy Awards (TELCA). Tritility has been awarded in both the Diversity Pioneers and Wellbeing and Diversity categories, two accreditations that highlight our company’s commitment to social mobility and equality.
