June is Pride month. To mark the occasion, we caught up with the chairperson of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Forum to find out about the fantastic work they’re doing.

The Tritility ED&I Forum

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Forum was created to give our employees a voice, and to provide suggestions on how we can continue to promote equality in the workplace. It is open to everyone, and we particularly encourage those from minority groups to come and have their say.

Meetings cover a wide range of topics, from mental health to our most recent topic, Pride. This month, the group discussed LGBTQ+ history, key terms, what the different flags mean, and what we can do to raise awareness within the business.

“Safe Space for Employees”

We asked our chairman, Harry, to weigh in on why the group was set up and the importance of it: “The EDI group was set up to create a safe space for employees at Tritility to share their views and contribute towards the delivery of equality objectives. As the business continues to grow, so does the diversity. It is important that all employees feel as if they have a voice within the business and this can be channelled through the forum.”

He hopes to achieve a structure to the forum that “provides events, information and shares areas of good practice by promoting equality and diversity across all topics.”

When asked about Pride, he added that it “is a great way to promote awareness and equality within the company as well as increasing the understanding of vital issues that have been faced by those members of the community.”
