Tritility Among UK’s Top 10 Mid-Sized Employers

Tritility has been ranked as the ninth best mid-sized employer in the UK, and one of the five best employers in the North East. We’ve also been named as the third best consultancy to work for in the country.

The announcement came on Friday at Best Companies Live, the virtual event that ranks the UK’s top employers. Results are based on employee feedback scores, as well as a detailed assessment of each nominee’s track record in promoting employee wellbeing and engagement.

Top 10 Best Mid-Size Employers

Those who made the top-100 list have shown outstanding commitment to employee care. Being named as a Best Company is one of the most coveted accolades an employer can achieve, but only the very best make the list.

Tritility ranked ninth out of 100 in the Mid-Size category. According to Best Companies, we demonstrated “exemplary care of employees during the pandemic.” This was in recognition of the raft of safety measures, engagement initiatives and wellbeing provisions that we have put in place over the past year.

These included the appointment of a wellbeing coordinator and two extra mental health first aiders, as well as extensive adaptations to our ways of working to ensure employees could continue to work safely.

Best Companies also acknowledged our extensive benefits, which include private medical insurance, dental care, gym membership, an Employee Assistance Programme and free college courses.

Top Five in the North East

In addition to our overall ranking, we were named fifth best employer in the North East. Though we serve clients throughout the UK, we’re strongly rooted in our community. This is reflected in our inclusive hiring policies, which recognise the challenge of falling employment figures in South Tyneside. The recent launch of the Tritility Academy means we’re now geared up to provide comprehensive training to candidates who have no prior industry experience. This includes those taking part in the government Kickstart scheme, an initiative aimed at helping young people transition from Universal Credit back into full time employment.

We were also ranked as the third best consultancy to work for in the UK. Our collaborative, people-orientated culture marks us out as a genuine alternative to the traditional energy consultancy model.

Insights

The annual Best Companies assessment is not just about recognition. Participants are also given vital insights into their strengths, weaknesses and areas for potential improvement. This, for us, was a key driver for taking part, and we are already looking at how we can use the results to inform our ongoing engagement strategy.

Jamie Wyatt, Director at Tritility, said: “This is a fantastic boost for us, but of even more value is the insight we’ll gain from it. We will carefully review employee feedback to ensure Tritility remains a fantastic place to work, and, we hope, learn how to become even better in future. Our people are our greatest asset and we’ll continue to invest in their wellbeing and satisfaction.”
